Following yesterday’s reveal of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster, today the Japanese arm of Atlus revealed new assets.
First of all, we get an extended trailer that showcases more gameplay including the new elements exclusive to the remaster.
We also see the first screenshots, the box art, and a collector’s edition (for now announced only for Japan) which includes a special box, a magazine, a soundtrack, and an aroma lamp which is a callback to the incense burner included in the original collector’s edition for PS2.
It’ll cost 13,980 yen, while the standard edition will cost 5980 yen.
The remaster will add voices to event cutscenes and improve the graphics and will also add a difficulty level on top of the original “normal” and “hard.” You can choose a “Merciful” level that will be available as free DLC to let you enjoy the story without sweating the details of the gameplay too much.
While the western release will come in spring 2021, Japan will get the game earlier, on October 29, for both PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
