Today the Japanese arm of Sony Interactive Entertainment released a new trailer of the upcoming open-world adventure game Ghost of Tsushima.
The video is titled “historical movie trailer” and does exactly what it says on the tin, pretty much reproducing what you could expect from a promotional video of a samurai movie, including epic music and large Japanese lettering.
Conveniently, despite coming from Japan, the trailer also has English subtitles (you can activate them by clicking on the “CC” button if they’re not on by default. Apparently, Sony felt that the western audience would be interested and they probably aren’t wrong.
You can check it out below and see if it gets you in the mood to draw your katana and face the Mongol horde.
Ghost of Tsushima has recently been slightly rescheduled to release on July 17, 2020, exclusively for PS4. That being said, it has already gone gold, so there won’t be any more delays.
The game was originally announced in 2017 at Paris Games Week and if you want to see more, you can enjoy the latest trailer, some videos showcasing the world, an extensive gameplay reveal, the previous trailer, another recent Japanese trailer, an earlier video, and beautiful concept art.
