Ghost of Tsushima is finally available for everyone to play as of today, July 17, but many outlets reviewing the game have actually had a copy for two weeks already. Over the course of that period, there have been four separate updates issued, with Version 1.04 being the latest. As we’ve mentioned already, the update you’re downloading for your brand new copy of Ghost of Tsushima is actually four separate updates rolled into one. All four updates are for the purposes of fixing bugs and are described almost identically.

Version 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, and 1.04 are all either designed to solve “General big fixes and improvements,”Various localization Fixes,” or “Other Big Fixes.”

Vague descriptions, indeed, but since you will have never played the previous versions of the game then there’s obviously nothing to worry about! And for the record, we’ve encountered very few glitches and bugs during our 50 hours with the game, so you can expect a smooth ride overall.

As for the actual download size of the Day 1 Patch, it should be 5.5GB to update from Version 1.0 to Version 1.04, so hardly huge.

In fact, Ghost of Tsushima’s file size in general is pretty impressive at around only 35GB. Particularly so, when you consider that its open-world is over twice the size of Marvel’s Spider-Man.
