Changing Armor in Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima allows players to not only change the type of armor that Jin is wearing but also the color of it. This gives players the ability to personalize their adventure against the invading Mongol forces.
At the beginning of Ghost of Tsushima, Jin will be wearing broken armor, but you’ll want to change this out as soon as you can. The first armor you get is called ‘Traveler’s Attire’ and it grants the following abilities and bonuses:
- Track Artifacts with the Guiding Wind
- Traveling clears 20% more fog of war on the map
- Controller will vibrate when within 30m of an Artifact
To change armor in Ghost of Tsushima, press the Options button on your controller and then go to ‘Gear.’ Here, select the ‘Outfit’ option. You’ll now be able to cycle through the different armor that you’ve unlocked on your adventure so far.
In this same menu, you’ll also be able to change the color of your armor when selecting your ‘Outfit.’ Simply choose the one you want and it’ll be reflected in-game.
How to Get More Armor Colors in Ghost of Tsushima
To get more color options for your armor in Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll need to find undiscovered flowers. These are littered throughout the open world of the game and the Guiding Wind can take you right to them.
Once you’ve found an undiscovered flower, take this to a Merchant and you’ll have the option to buy more armor colors in the form of dyes.
Purchase whichever color dye you want and then open up the ‘Outfit’ menu again. You should now find your new color ready to be applied to any of your available armor.
How to Upgrade Armor in Ghost of Tsushima
Each set of armor you get can be upgraded three times by visiting any Armorer on the map. You’ll need to have items like Linen and Supplies to upgrade your armor. Doing so will both change the armor’s appearance and increase its stats.
