Changing Armor Color in Ghost of Tsushima

The customization options for Jin in Ghost of Tsushima are plentiful, allowing you to change up the way he looks by messing around with his armor and clothing. We’ve already gone over how to change Jin’s appearance in a specific guide, but if you’re just wanting to swap armor colors, here’s what you need to know.

You can visit merchants and purchase dyes from them for 10 flowers each. Once you’ve done so, bring up your menu with the Options button and use the L1 and R1 buttons to cycle over to the Gear tab. From here, select the armor you want to customize and use the d-pad to cycle through your available colors.

Once you’re happy with your selection, confirm it and you’re good to go.

Note that as the game progresses, more armor dyes (and weapon dyes, for that matter) will become available, so if the color you want isn’t there then check back later.

How to Get Flowers

Flowers can be picked up in the open world and they’re used as a form of currency that you can exchange for some dye colors with the armorer.

They’re basically found in random corners of the open world and can be easily recognized by their white petals and green stems. Remember you can set the Guiding Wind to finding them if necessary. Whenever you spot one, head over and hit the R2 button to pick them up. As mentioned previously, once you have 10 flowers, you can then exchange them for some dye at the armorer.

That’s all you need to know about how to change armor color in Ghost of Tsushima. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
