Deadly Premonition 2’s Latest Patch Address Frame Rate Issues, More Fixes Incoming

deadly premonition 2

By now, it’s no secret that Deadly Premonition 2 launched in a pretty abysmal state. With technical and performance issues plaguing the game, along with backlash on transphobic elements in the story, Deadly Premonition 2 has had a very rough start.

That said, creator and director Hidetaka Suehiro has taken to Twitter to publicly apologize for the writing and has stated his intentions to rewrite the scene. In addition to that, a new patch was pushed out for the game to address some of the performance issues.

For starters, patch 1.0.2 is out now and it definitely improves the game’s frame rate. While it’s not quite as stable or up to the standards that fans might expect, it’s still an improvement. In addition to that, Swery also mentions on Twitter that the team plans to gradually improve the frame rate in coming patches, along with providing fixes for other issues, and including features like an inverted camera option.

The game isn’t perfect, but if you’ve already picked it up, rest assured that the improvements are coming. Deadly Premonition 2 is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
