Crytek’s upcoming Crysis Remaster has had a bumpy start to life. Its reveal trailer was leaked earlier this month and then lambasted by onlookers for wonky performance, which, in turn, prompted the developer to delay the project’s launch on PS4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version, however, is still locked in for a release later this week, and ahead of that launch Crytek showcased 30 minutes of the game running on the system.

Senior community manager Janneke van Ooyen and project manager Steffen Halbig were on hand to talk us through a level of Crysis Remastered.

It follows on from a tech trailer last week that spotlighted new graphical features for the Nintendo Switch version of the game, such as high-quality textures, global illumination (SVOGI), vegetation bending, optimized dynamic light settings, dynamic resolution, gyro aiming, motion blur, bloom (light rays and sunbeams), and more.

But today is our first proper taste of how the game performs hands-on. Check it out below.

Crysis Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch later this week, July 23. The game will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One, though no new release date has yet been confirmed following the delay announcement earlier this month.
