Getting the Witherhoard Catalyst in Destiny 2

First off, you’ll want to collect your Witherhoard before you can get the quest to obtain the Catalyst. From the directory menu, click on the Seasons tab, then redeem the free first tier gift to get the Grenade Launcher. After that, you should automatically get a quest marker that leads you to Banshee in the Tower.

Head over and talk to Banshee, and he’ll hand over the Bank Job quest step that lets you get the Catalyst.

Here are the Bank Job quest steps:

  1. Acquire vault keys
  2. Earn 300 Filthy Lucre from Gambit, Crucible, and Nightfall
  3. Get 300 multi-kills with a Grenade Launcher
  4. Get 100 Guardian kills with a Grenade Launcher

The first step is fairly simple, as vault keys can be obtained easily by killing combatants with a kinetic or special Grenade Launcher.

After that, the grind begins as you’ll need to farm Gambit, Crucible, and Nightfall games for 300 Filthy Lucre. You can get 2 per match, though it’s possible to unlock boosters via the Season Pass to speed up the process.

The last two steps are pretty self-explanatory, requiring you to get PvE multi-kills with a Grenade Launcher, and 100 PvP kills with a Grenade Launcher. Once you complete all the steps, you can head back to Banshee to collect your Witherhoard Catalyst and finish the Bank Job quest.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the Witherhoard Catalyst and finish the Bank Job quest in Destiny 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
