Let’s go over what’s been happening first of all. For a few weeks, very lucky players have found Red Access Cards popping out of legendary chests. However, they’ve not done anything, with you still being denied access when using one on a secret bunker. Now, however, with the release of Update 1.21, they do.

How to Use Access Cards & Open Bunkers in CoD Warzone

You still get access cards in the same way. We have seen Red Access Cards pop out of both standard and legendary chests since the update, but they’re still pretty rare.

Once you’ve picked one up like you would any other piece of loot, you can head to one of the 12 secret bunkers scattered around the map (with one exception that we’ll get to).

You then just need to interact with the panel on the right of the door. If you have a keycard, the yellow bars will retract and the doors will open, allowing you to run inside to grab the huge amount of loot, cash, and killstreaks. There will be another door at the back of the bunker, but you can’t open it with a Red Access Key quite yet.

Below, we have put together a map with all the locations of the bunkers scattered across Verdansk. They all have numbers ranging from 00 to 11, with all but no. 11 being opened with Red Access Cards.

Number 11 is the northernmost bunker, northwest of the Military Base, and you need to follow some specific steps to get in and see the nuke that’s there.

Initially, the light above the door will be red, but you can follow the instructions here to get in. Be warned though, it’s complicated and you’ll need to be quick about it.

If you just want to grab some loot, all the other bunkers are fine and easier to get into if you find a Red Access Card.

That’s everything you need to know about how to use access cards and open bunkers in CoD Warzone. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite.
