Sony is offering a refund to customers who pre-ordered The Last of Us Part II and/or Iron Man VR following last week’s delay. Those interested in taking it up need only wait for an impending email providing instructions.
The information comes directly from Sony’s support page, which features a message that reads:
“The Last of Us Part II and Iron Man VR have been delayed. All digital pre-order consumers will automatically receive a refund. Please check your email for more details.“
Last week’s delay of both games was the second for both; developer Naughty Dog pushed the original February 22 release date back earlier this year. Iron Man VR has also been delayed once before — back in January, it was pushed back by five months.
Since social distancing measures have become a global standard in recent weeks, we’ve seen a number of publishers struggle to deliver physical copies of video games in a timely manner.
Both Capcom with its Resident Evil 3 Remake and Square Enix with Final Fantasy VII Remake have experienced similar difficulties in recent weeks.
For those wanting some more positive news on The Last of Us Part II, Naughty Dog recently released a bunch of awesome screenshots. The studio subsequently made comments on how much the game has improved since the demo that was showcased to press earlier this year.
