Getting Shiva in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake

Shiva is a mainstay of the Final Fantasy series, and she can be obtained as a summon Materia in this game.

To get Shiva in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, all you need to do is progress through the main story until you get to the Sector 5 slums. Once you have free reign to explore the area however you wish, look for Chadley at the crossroads and talk to him.

He’ll inform you that you’re now able to take on VR missions through his portable combat simulator, and if you can beat the enemy in the VR mission, you’ll obtain them as a summoning Materia. The first mission here tasks you with fighting Shiva. Talk to Chadley, choose the VR Missions option, then choose to fight her.

Do note that you don’t have to fight her with just Cloud; if you have other members in your party, they’ll join you in the VR mission as well.

Before getting started, you’ll want to have the Fire Materia equipped on one of your characters, as well as Ifrit. Taking down this boss is pretty easy, as you can Pressure her with just a couple of Fire casts or one Fira cast, and then Stagger her after that for more damage.

Each time you Stagger her, she gets more aggressive with her attacks, but keep your distance and dodge them, and keep pelting Fire spells at her until she falls. If all else fails, Ifrit should give you a serious edge in this fight.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Shiva in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
