The first part of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake centers entirely around the story that takes place in the city of Midgar. While that was only a very short portion of the original game, it’s been expanded upon in meaningful ways in the remake, with some new areas that are bigger than you might remember them. Here’s how to get back to the Sewers in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Going Back to the Sewers in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

As you progress through the main story of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you’ll eventually reach Wall Market and confront Don Corneo before making your way back to Sector 7 via the Sewers. Your first trip down here is mandatory, but once you’ve cleared this area and gotten back to the Sector 7 slums, you won’t be able to go back.

That said, once you reach chapter 14, you’ll open up a new set of side quests, one of which requires you to head back down to the Sewers. Since there’s no clear way of getting back down there, here’s what you need to know.

Basically, you need to progress through the story a little bit more in chapter 14 and go back to Don Corneo’s mansion. Here, you’ll meet Leslie, who will give you a way back into the Sewers. Talk to him in the mansion, and you’ll be able to go back to the level.

To recap, here’s how to go back to the Sewers in Final Fantasy 7 Remake:

  1. Progress through the game until you get to chapter 14.

  2. Follow the main objective markers and go back to Don Corneo’s mansion.

  3. Talk to Leslie, and he’ll lead you back in.
