Muv-Luv series creator Kouki Yoshimune announced during a livestream from the studio’s headquarters in Tokyo that a special event titled “Comikeaid” will be hosted online at some time during Comiket’s planned dates (May 2 to May 5). He also showcased the plan for the booth that was being prepared for Comiket, which you can see below.

A notice has also been posted on the teaser site dedicated to the original event.

“Comic Market 98, which was planned to be held from May 2nd to May 5th, has sadly been canceled due to the coronavirus. However, the Muv-Luv Project is planning a special online event, to be held at the same time Comiket was originally set for. We’re not sure what it’ll be yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as we’ve figured it out.

We here at aNCHOR are doing everything we can to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and we hope you all are too. We’ll be hoping for a swift end to the crisis, and we hope to see you at a real-world event sometime soon.”

aNCHOR was supposed to share more information about two of its upcoming games Project Immortal and Project Mikhail. Project Immortal was also scheduled to be playable at the event.

This likely isn’t the first time in which plans related to Muv-Luv have to be changed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The developers have been teasing a reveal about the upcoming Muv-Luv Alternative anime series at AnimeJapan, which was supposed to be held a few days ago. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen.
