How Long Doom Eternal Takes to Beat

With it being a sequel, it’ll likely come as no surprise that Doom Eternal is a longer game, and id intended that to be the case.

In an interview with Gamespot, Game Director Hugo Martin said, “We’re hell-bent on engaging you from beginning to end. This is a 22-plus hour game.”

Now, while the game isn’t 22 hours long if you’re just blasting through the story with a decent amount of exploration, it’s significantly longer than the 2016 game.

We’d estimate that our own playthrough of Doom Eternal, on the game’s equivalent of Normal difficulty, took around 12 hours.

Now, of course, we’ve gone back since to find some other collectibles, there are master levels to complete, and Slayer Gates are there to really test your strength, so there’s lots of additional content to play once you’ve beaten the campaign.

How Many Missions There Are

As for how many levels there are to complete in the campaign, there are 13 individual ones. You can go back to start it again via Mission Select in the main menu or Fortress of Doom.

Below is a screenshot of the Mission Select menu, which has all the names of the levels in order. Be warned before you take a look, there might be some mild spoilers in the names of the missions.

That’s everything you need to know about how long Doom Eternal takes to beat and how many missions there are. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite.
