After weeks of teases and leaks, Call of Duty’s new battle royale mode, Warzone, has finally been fully revealed. If you’re looking to dive in as soon as it launches, here’s everything you need to know about what the install size is for Call of Duty Warzone.
Warzone, unlike Black Ops 4’s Blackout equivalent, doesn’t require you to own Modern Warfare to play it. Owners of the game will get four hours early access, but it will be completely free to play too.
What the Install Size of Call of Duty Warzone Is
That also means that the install size for Warzone is different depending on where you’re playing it.
If you own Modern Warfare, it will be an update that changes the Classified icon on the main menu to one that’s for the battle royale mode.
If you’re playing the standalone version though, you’ll have to download it from your platform of choice’s store, and the install size will be much bigger.
We haven’t got the finalized install size figures (we will update you once the game launches and we do) but Activision has revealed what you can expect them to be.
The update that adds Warzone to Modern Warfare will come in at between 18-22GB and the install size for the standalone version will be between 83-101GB. That means you’ll likely have to wait a while before you can actually jump into playing it.
Of course, the exact size will change a little bit depending on future updates, where you are in the world, and what platform you are playing on. At least you now know the ballpark figure to expect.
That’s everything you need to know about what the install size is for Call of Duty Warzone. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check back with Twinfinite once it’s live.
