Animal Crossing: New Horizons is finally here and players are starting to grow their own flowers and trees to bring their island to life. Like previous titles in the almost 20-year franchise, the game allows players to crossbreed flowers to make different colored flowers that can not be bought in the shop. Here is how to crossbreed plants and a list of all flowers.
Hybrid Flowers Explained
Hybrid flowers are a crossbreed of two different colored flowers of the same type. The crossbreed produces a different color of that flower that is not sold in the shop. For example, a red tulip and a white tulip produces a pink tulip.
In order to crossbreed, seeds must be purchased from Nook’s Cranny or obtain existing flowers by uprooting with a shovel from your island or other mysterious islands. Find a spacious spot on your island, bury your seeds or flowers into holes, water with a watering can, and then wait.
Flowers planted right next to each other can produce hybrid flowers, but leave an empty space between flowers for best results.
