The service allows players to import pokemon collected from Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Go, Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee, Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu, and the Nintendo 3DS app Pokemon Bank.

Players can then bring their pokemon into Pokemon Sword And Shield from Pokemon Home, or trade using the Global Trading System (GTS).

Downloading the app on Nintendo Switch offers a free Pikachu, while downloading the iOS or Android apps gives users a choice between one of the original three starter pokemon: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

The app also features a new character called Grand Oak, who sports wide green sunglasses and long hair, and is not Professor Oak or his cousin Samson Oak from the Sun and Moon games.

Pokemon Home comes with a basic and a premium plan with the basic plan offers storage for up to 30 pokemon for free. The premium plan increases the storage to 6,000 and allows more pokemon to be placed in the Wonder Box and GTS at one time for $2.99 for one month, $4.99 for three months, and $15.99 for a full year.
