Bandai Namco has been very quiet about its upcoming MMORPG Blue Protocol as of late, but they just reopened the floodgates, quite literally.
The publisher took to the official Twitter account (which has been inactive since September), mentioning that the official Twitter activity for the online action RPG is going to be resumed starting today.
The message also encourages to follow, because the latest information will be provided.
On top of that, we also get a note on the official website mentioning that the (very strictly enforced) NDA on footage from the alpha test has been lifted.
This had an immediate effect, with tens of gameplay videos being posted on YouTube by those who participated.
You can watch them at the bottom of the post, courtesy of YouTube users sappysapi, Tom Kannaduki, koko aili, and A A.
Do keep in mind that the footage is from the alpha that was hosted this Summer. It’s likely that development has progressed further since then.
Incidentally, the timing is perfect because just yesterday the discovery of a career opportunity ad for a localization director strongly hinted to an upcoming English version of the game.
If you want to see more, you can watch the initial announcement trailer and the first screenshots, and the second batch of screenshots, another gallery, a look at the Aegis Fighter class, one at the Twin Striker class, the first look at the Blast Archer, and the reveal of the Spellcaster.
You can also enjoy videos of the character creation for an older guy, a cute girl, and a pair featuring a boy and a sexy older sister-type.
Blue Protocol is an online JRPG in development for PC by a team named Project Blue Sky, which is a joint initiative of Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studios. At the moment, there is no set release date.
