The publisher released a career opportunity ad (spotted by Reddit user Furia_BD via Resetera) seeking a Localization Director to oversee the localization of the UI, general text, and voice acting. English is explicitly mentioned.

While not yet a full confirmation (career opportunity ads aren’t announcement, after all), this is not very surprising considering that the initial announcement mentioned that the goal is to “impress the world” so it’s quite obvious that the publisher has had its sights set on the western market since the beginning.

If you’re not familiar with Blue Protocol, Bandai Namco suddenly revealed it a few months ago as an AAA-level MMORPG for PC boasting some extremely impressive anime-style graphics.

As you can see in the tweet below, following the alpha test, the team went back to work on the game quietly, without making further announcements, but promising that they’re going to come back with new info when ready.

While there is no indication that such time is near, it’s nice to get a new glimpse of the scope of the project.

If you want to see more, you can watch the initial announcement trailer and the first screenshots, and the second batch of screenshotsanother gallery, a look at the Aegis Fighter class, one at the Twin Striker class, the first look at the Blast Archer, and the reveal of the Spellcaster.

You can also enjoy videos of the character creation for an older guy, a cute girl, and a pair featuring a boy and a sexy older sister-type.

Blue Protocol is an online JRPG in development for PC by a team named Project Blue Sky, which is a joint initiative of Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studios. At the moment, there is no set release date.
