Tokyo Mirage Sessions Encore: Can You Romance? Answered

tokyo mirage sessions encore romance

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore has finally arrived on the Nintendo Switch. Players can now join their favorite pop stars from Atlus’ popular SMT series, as they summon the spirits of Fire Emblem characters to help them fight off the evil Mirages. It’s all very anime, and as such you may be half expecting there to be some sort of love interest or romance in Tokyo Mirage Sessions Encore.

Well, about that.

Is There Romance in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore? Answered

Let’s get the immediate question you likely have out of the way. No, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore doesn’t have any romance options for players to choose from. As in, there’s nothing like you might see in Mass Effect or The Witcher here.

This may come as disappointing news to some players, especially considering the game offers flirtier dialog options for you to use when speaking to certain characters during their side stories.

Furthermore, the game seems to hint that the two lead characters Itsuki and Tsubasa could get together at some point throughout the story. While this is never wholly answered throughout the story in our experience, you can’t actually actively pursue any love interests yourself in the gameplay. Outside of those flirtier dialog options, but they don’t do anything really, anyway.

As such, if you were hoping to court your favorite character in your party, it’ll just have to forever be a dream of yours. So close, yet so, so far.

That’s everything you need to know about whether or not there’s romance in Tokyo Mirage Sessions Encore. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to head over to our guide wiki or search for Twinfinite for all of your video game guiding needs.
