Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore has finally arrived on Nintendo Switch, bringing this partnership between Atlus and Nintendo to the West for the first time. Players will build their party of pop stars as they take on the evil Mirages, who are harvesting energy known as Performa from humans and are also responsible for a number of missing persons. On your quest to save the day and put a stop to the Mirages, you’ll no doubt want to look good. Here’s how to change character appearance in Tokyo Mirage Sessions Encore.

Changing Character Appearance in Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

Let’s get some bad news out of the way right now. If you’re hoping to change the physical traits of characters, such as their nose, hairstyle, mouth, or body shape, you’re gonna have a bad time. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore’s character appearance’s will remain the same throughout the game.

That doesn’t mean you can’t change how they look in terms of what they’re wearing, though.

To change a character’s clothing or outfit, you’ll need to first reach Chapter 1. After reaching this milestone, you can change outfits at any point by pressing Y to bring up the menu.

From here, select Wardrobe, and then choose the character you’d like to change the clothes of. Choose the ‘Clothing’ section and then simply select the outfit you want to dress them in. Press A to confirm your choice and you’ll have successfully changed your character’s appearance… kinda.

  1. Reach Chapter 1

  2. Press Y to open Menu

  3. Select ‘Wardrobe’

  4. Choose the character you want to change the clothes of

  5. Select ‘Clothes’

  6. Choose which outfit you’d like the character to change into

Unlocking New Outfits in Tokyo Mirage Sessions

You can unlock most new outfits naturally as you play through the game, so don’t worry too much about missing one from a side mission or not venturing far enough off the beaten path.

More can be unlocked by completing character side stories, opening chests in the EX dungeons, and purchasing them from the Anzu costume shop.
