It’s that time of the month again, which means that the NPD released its data about the U.S. gaming market related to December 2019.
Once more analyst Mat Piscatella delivers the news.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was the best-selling game of the month for the third consecutive month.
Star Wars: Jed Fallen Order is once again the second best-selling game of the month and it’s now Respawn Entertainment’s best-selling game of all time.
Nintendo Switch was once again the best-selling platform of the month and of the year, while the PS4 is the best-selling platform of the decade.
The same thing extends to accessories, with the Switch Pro Controller being the best-selling accessory of the year and the black DualShock 4 being the best-selling accessory of the decade.
Below you can check out all the relevant charts including best-sellers for the year and the decade, also split by platform.
Inevitably, the best-selling game of the decade in the U.S. is Grand Theft Auto V, but there certainly is a lot of Call of Duty in that table.
