Today Microsoft and Asobo released new assets and data about the upcoming new entry in the Flight Simulator series.
First of all we get to read about some of the feedback provided by the current alpha testers as part of an account-protected Insider update.
Interestingly, we also learn about the top wishes for features. It’s unsurprising to be that AI traffic is at the very top, as the AI simulation community was very active in past titles of the series, and it really pushed the games to new levels of immersion.
Secondly we get to see some new screenshots, this time around provided by users of the alpha test itself.
In the gallery below you’ll see a variety of situations and environments, including the mountains of Namibia or the circuit of Silverstone in the United Kingdom.

If you’d like to see more, you can enjoy the trailer released at X019, alongside a gallery of screenshots, a second batch, a video from a few weeks ago showing the work that has been done to reproduce the world in fine detail, one showcasing the advanced aerodynamics simulation, and another about cockpits.
You can also take a look at the original announcement from E3 2019.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is slated for a 2020 release for PC and Xbox One.
