Gearbox Will Invent the “Looter Slasher” Genre With Godfall, Confirmed for PS5 & PC

Gearbox is known for the looter shooter. It is now creating the looter slasher genre with its next title, Godfall.

Gearbox announced Godfall during the Game Awards and revealed a CG trailer for the title. Apparently, Godfall will take place in a fantasy world that is staring in the face of the apocalypse.

Godfall’s website doesn’t reveal much, but it promises “high-impact combat” from a third-person perspective, plenty of legendary weapons and armor, and up to three-player co-op.

Godfall is expected to fall onto the PlayStation 5 and the Epic Games Store during Holiday 2020.
