While Pearl Abyss is hard at work on its new flagship MMORPG Crimson Desert, the Korean developer isn’t in any shape or form discontinuing its support for Black Desert.

In just a couple of days the Korean servers will get a brand new class named Guardian, which is basically a super-badass female (fantasy) Viking.

As usual, they had a pre-character creation event, and YouTube user Rendermax recorded a nice chunk of footage showing off what you can do with the game’s advanced customization tools.

Let’s just say that the results are very impressive. Black Desert continues to have one of the best character creations in the whole MMORPG industry, and the Guardian isn’t an exception to that rule, allowing the user to create extremely compelling character designs.

At the moment we don’t yet know when the Guardian will launch on the global servers of Black Desert Online for PC, and she’ll probably take a while to reach Black Desert on PS4 and Xbox One.

That being said, her introduction is certainly something to look forward to, and at least on PC, it shouldn’t take too long a wait considering the precedents with previously-released classes.
