Your lightsaber is a pretty vital piece of equipment in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, what with it being used to kill everything that’s trying to put an end to our protagonist Cal Kestis. Sometimes, though, you’ll just want to put your lightsaber away for a moment. Be it when you’re exploring, or just because you don’t want to approach an NPC with your neon blade ready to slice through them. Here’s how to holster your lightsaber in Jedi Fallen Order.

Holstering Your Lightsaber in Jedi Fallen Order

To holster and put away your lightsaber in Jedi Fallen Order, all you need to do is press left on the d-pad when you’ve got it out. This will see Cal turn the saber off, before placing it back in its holster on his waist.

What’s worth noting, however, is that when you get the Dual-Bladed Lightsaber, or the Staff Lightsaber as it’s called, you’ll then use left and right on the d-pad to switch between the two lightsaber types. Pressing right on the d-pad while having your standard lightsaber out will transform it into the dual-bladed variant, while pressing left on the d-pad while in this mode will change it back.

To holster your dual-bladed lightsaber in Fallen Order therefore, you’ll need to press right on the d-pad, rather than left.

It’s worth pointing out that there’s no benefit in gameplay to putting your lightsaber away other than for a cleaner look. You might also find it easier to navigate some of the trickier platforming sections if Cal puts the giant glowing laser sword away.

How do you holster your lightsaber in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order?

Press left on the d-pad to put away your single lightsaber. If you’ve got the dual-bladed lightsaber (Staff Lightsaber), press right on the d-pad to put it away.
