Gigantamaxing is literally the biggest new feature to ever come to this franchise and it gives new forms to fan-favorite ‘mons like Eevee and Pikachu. Here’s how to Gigantamax Eevee in Pokemon Sword & Shield.
How to Gigantamax Eevee in Pokemon Sword & Shield
If you want to see your favorite cute and fluffy Pokemon blow up to the size of a skyscraper, then Gigantamaxing may be for you. It also helps that this transformation can double the max HP of your little buddy.
First, you’ll need to get your hands on an Eevee that’s capable of Gigantamaxing. Unfortunately, that means you can’t just find these Pokemon anywhere in the wild.
Right now, there are a couple of different ways that you can get this special version of Eevee. The first one requires that you have Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee save data on your Switch.
If that’s the case, then you can go to the Wild Area train station and speak to the NPCs in the far left corner of the building. They’ll be able to see your Let’s Go save data and give you Gigantamax Eevee as a gift.
If you played Let’s Go Pikachu instead, then you’ll get a special Pikachu from them. In that case, then you’ll have to catch an Eevee from a Max Raid Battle to get this massively fluffy Pokemon.
It shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to get this Pokemon if you have the proper save data, but it may take a bit longer if you have to search for an Eevee Max Raid in the Wild Area.
Once you obtain Eevee in either of those ways, then you’ll be ready to Gigantamax it. If you’re in an Online battle, Gym battle, or Max Raid battle, then you’ll be able to use this new transformation.
Other battle arenas simply don’t have enough space for these giant creatures. You will have a new button appear next to your moves in one of those larger battle locations.
This new button will say Gigantamax on it. Choose that, then select which move you want to use this turn. This will give you access to the Max versions of moves your Eevee knows, including the signature move G-Max Cuddle.
To use G-Max Cuddle, Eevee must have a Normal-type move that inflicts damage. This attack can be physical or special based upon the properties of the original move. This skill inflicts massive damage and leaves the opposite gender Pokemon infatuated.
Time needed: 30 minutes
Here’s a quick rundown on how to get Gigantamax Eevee:
