How to Evolve Woobat Into Swoobat in Pokemon Sword & Shield

There are several Pokemon that need to meet special requirements in order to evolve, and Woobat is one of them. However, the method to evolving it isn’t quite as straightforward as just using an evolution stone or it, or giving it an item to hold.

Instead, you’ll need to increase its happiness level. Once Woobat is happy enough in your company, it’ll just need to gain one level in order to evolve.

There are a few ways you can increase its happiness level, as listed below:

  • Catching it with a Friend Ball
  • Playing with it at camp
  • Feeding it berries
  • Letting it hold the Soothe Bell
  • Leave it in your party and keep doing battle

The Soothe Bell method is probably the most efficient way of increasing its happiness level, and can be obtained very easily by talking to an NPC in Hammerlocke.

Other than that, Woobat’s happiness level will also increase naturally if you leave it in your party and continue to do battle with it. Eventually, its happiness level will get high enough that it’ll evolve once it reaches the next level.
