Pokemon Sword and Shield mark the eighth generation of games in the series, and bring players to the England-inspired region of Galar. There are a bunch of new variations and additions to the roster of Pokemon in the Galar Pokedex, one of which is an evolution of Gen 1 icon, Mr. Mime, fittingly called Mr. Rime. Here’s how you can get a Mr. Mime and evolve it into Mr. Rime in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Before you can get yourself a Mr. Rime, you’ll have to catch a Mr. Mime. That’s because Mr. Rime cannot be found in the wild just anywhere in Galar.
To start, then, you’ll need to get Mr. Mime. Your best chance of getting one is on Route 10. It has a 40% spawn rate here, compared to the 13% spawn rate if you try and catch it at Lake of Outrage. Finally, it can be caught at Winter Hill Station with a 30% spawn rate, but Route 10 is your best bet.
Evolving Mr. Mime Into Mr. Rime in Pokemon Sword & Shield
Once you’ve got a Mr. Mime, all you need to do to evolve it into Mr. Rime is level it up to Lv. 42. The Mr. Mime you catch from the wild will already be above this. In this case, all you need to do is level Mr. Mime up once to evolve it into Mr. Rime.
For those of you who want to train your Mr. Rime up from nothing but an egg, you can do this by breeding via the Nursery. You can then level up Mime Jr. to Lv. 32 to evolve it into Mr. Mime, before leveling that up to Lv. 42 to evolve it into Mr. Rime.
