Sylveon is one of the harder to get Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Sword and Shield, so you wouldn’t be blamed for being unclear on how to get it. Fortunately, we’re here to help you along with a guide on how to get Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
How to Get Sylveon in Pokemon Sword and Shield
Boasting the rare and valuable Fairy typing, Sylveon is one of the stronger and more versatile evolutions of Eevee available in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Its special stats make it a force to be reckoned with, and its rare typing makes it an ace in the hole against the deadly Dragon-type.
Like with some of Eevee’s other evolutions though, Sylveon can only be obtained by meeting two specific criteria with an Eevee: It needs to know a Fairy-type move and its friendship needs to be maxed out.
The first criteria is the easier of the two to complete. Eevee automatically learns a Fairy-type move, Baby-Doll Eyes, at level 15. Even if you’ve accidentally declined learning it, you can re-learn it at any Pokémon Center in the game.
It can also be taught Fairy-type moves via TMs like Charm so long as you have them on hand.
How to Increase a Pokemon’s Friendship Level Fast and Easy
The second is a bit trickier, as it requires you to improve your bond with your Eevee until it has been maxed out.
This can take quite a while if you don’t know how to increase Friendship in Pokemon Sword and Shield, so we’ve laid out the different methods for increasing the stat below:
- Use them in battle. Putting them in against opponents in battle, and winning battles with them, will cause their Friendship level to increase at a steady pace.
- Don’t let them faint. If they do, their Friendship level will decrease. Instead, keep them healthy and heal them to keep their Friendship level on the uptick.
- Interact with them at your camp. You should play with them regularly, and feed them curry that they like as often as possible.
- Give them the Soothe Bell to hold. This will increase the amount their Friendship level increases from all of the above methods. You can find the Soothe Bell by talking to the girl in the house to the right of the Hammerlocke Pokémon Center.
