Death Stranding is finally upon us, and with it, one of the strangest open world experiences around. Of course, games can always be made stranger with cheat codes, so you may be asking yourself: Are there cheats in Death Stranding?
Well, for better or worse, we’ve got an answer for you.
Are There Cheats in Death Stranding? Answered
To make a long story short, no, Death Stranding does not have an option to apply cheats to the gameplay. What you see is what you get, and you’ll have to stick to whatever limitations, physics and mechanics are presented to you within the scope of the stock settings.
It’s a bit of a bummer, but also far from surprising in the current gaming landscape. Few titles offer cheats that can be applied to their gameplay, and while there are some outliers within the open world genre – namely Grand Theft Auto V – most titles no longer offer the option to players.
Will There Ever Be Cheats in the Game?
As for whether cheats might come to Death Stranding at a later date, the chances are slim.
Hideo Kojima and his studio, Kojima Productions, have made no mention of cheats or their addition to the game being a priority. As such, it’s unlikely they’re being considered for addition to the game at a later point.
Likewise, with the game intended for release on PC in Summer of 2020, it’s far more likely that such an addition would be left up to modders who are dedicated enough to implement the feature to the game themselves.
With that said though, there is the glimmer of a chance that the feature could be added to Death Stranding should enough fans request it. However, you shouldn’t hold your breath waiting on that to happen.
No, there are no cheats to speak of in the game at this time.
And that’s all you need to know about whether there are cheats in Death Stranding.
