After you’ve finished with the desert area, you can head to another of Trowzer’s paywalls to open up the next section of the map.
This is a new green area with a frozen pond, the familiar sight of Nimbo, and Chapter 12 in plain sight nearby. As you progress you’ll find Chapter 14 to the north past a Pagie – but what about Chapter 13?
How to Find Chapter 13 in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair
Chapter 13 is actually cleverly hidden at the bottom of the frozen pond, under the oddly cube-shaped block of ice. You’ll need to make a few changes to the pond to be able to get to it.
Speak to Nimbo and knock down the bridge on the right of the frozen pond to access the ice.
Slide over to the nearby waterberry bush. Grab a berry and use it to water the small plant just north of the pond, turning it into a fireberry bush. The ice is pretty slippery, so this can make being speedy a hassle.
Now grab a fireberry and throw it at Nimbo. This will make him heat up the ice and melt the pond. The cube of ice near the bottom of the pond will now have thawed out, revealing a moveable crate.
Slide the crate aside to reveal the chapter underneath. You can also position this crate just right to use it as a stepping stone to reach the treasure chest on the island in the middle.
With Chapter 13 unveiled you’re free to jump straight into it. You can also now refreeze and rethaw the pond with the berries to play the Chapter’s two different forms.
