Obsidian Entertainment’s latest title has finally arrived on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The Outer Worlds drops players in the middle of space and tasks them with uncovering the true power of the mega corporations that control the galaxy. With this being a sprawling open-world title, some players may be wondering if The Outer Worlds has PS4 Pro and Xbox One X enhancements.
Is The Outer Worlds Xbox One X Enhanced? Answered
Yes, The Outer Worlds is fully enhanced for the Xbox One X, displaying in a 4K resolution. This helps to make the various galaxies and finer details out in space really pop and make the entire experience more immersive in general.
Is The Outer Worlds PS4 Pro Enhanced?
Strangely enough, the game actually isn’t enhanced at all for PS4 Pro. The Outer Worlds will run in a standard 1080p HD resolution on both the standard PS4 and PS4 Pro, and apparently won’t benefit from any other improvements in graphical fidelity or otherwise on Sony’s supercharged system.
Unfortunately, the statement we received from the PR representative did not shed further light on the reasoning for this decision, and whether or not Microsoft’s acquisition of developer Obsidian has somewhat led to this decision. Either way, it’s definitely disappointing news for PS4 Pro owners.
Should any update for Outer Worlds PS4 Pro compatibility come further down the line, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know. For now, though, it’s not looking all that promising, so don’t get your hopes up too much.
