The Outer Worlds has finally released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC courtesy of the folk over at Obsidian Entertainment. As you try and uncover the mysterious conspiracy in space, you’ll be hopping from planet to planet meeting NPCs, completing quests, and shooting bad guys in the face. Sometimes, though, you’ll want to cut down on the travel time and just get somewhere fast. Here’s how to fast travel in Outer Worlds.
How to Fast Travel in Outer Worlds
To fast travel, simply open the main menu with the touchpad on PS4 or Menu button on Xbox One and go to the ‘Map’ tab. Here, you’ll see any locations you’ve already visited marked with a blue compass icon.
You can fast travel to any of these locations simply by highlighting it with your left analog stick or mouse and then simply pressing X, A, or left clicking on it.
Fast Traveling in Outer Worlds
- Press the touchpad on PS4 or View button on Xbox One.
- Go to the ‘Map’ tab.
- Select the location on the planet that you want to fast travel to with the left analog stick.
- Press X on PS4, A on Xbox One to confirm your decision.
How to Change & Travel to Other Planets
It’s worth noting, though, that you can’t fast travel to other planets when you’re out and about exploring another. If you want to travel to another planet in Outer Worlds, you’ll need to return to your ship and interact with the galaxy map station in the cockpit.
Then it’s simply a case of picking which planet you want to go to and selecting it.
That’s everything you need to know on how to fast travel in Outer Worlds and how to change planets. You can head to our Outer Worlds guide wiki for more tips, tricks, and guides, or check out some handy links down below.
