Modern Warfare: Where to Find Oil Filter (Embedded Mission)

Modern warfare oil filter

As you make your way through the streets of Urzikstan in Modern Warfare’s Embedded mission, you’ll eventually come to a point where Farah spots some of her people being held at gunpoint by terrorists. You’ll need to find an oil filter in order to suppress the sound of your shots and not alert other nearby enemies. Here’s where to find the oil filter in Modern Warfare’s Embedded mission.

Finding the Oil Filter in Modern Warfare

As you might imagine, Alex doesn’t happen to have an oil filter in his (your) back pocket, so you’re going to need to find one nearby.

Farah first suggests you search cars. There’s one just at the opposite end of the road to where Farah waits by a bus. Unfortunately, searching the front of the car won’t net you the filter you’re after.

Instead, you want to turn around from the car so you’re facing Farah, and look for the garage on your right just before her.

Once you’re inside, you’ll find a van that’s seen better days. Walk on over to the front of it, and press Square on PS4 or X on Xbox One to search it and you’ll find the oil filter you’re looking for.

Your character will now equip it, but make sure to conceal your weapon by pressing up on the d-pad before going outside again. Next, all you need to do is walk back down to Farah, go down the right-hand side of the bus, and shoot two of the guys holding her people hostage.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t the only time you’ll have to, or can, find an oil filter to work as a silencer for your weapon.

Later on in the Embedded mission, you can find another on a motorbike in a corridor when you’re planting explosives on the helicopters, so always keep these in mind for a stealthier approach to a mission.

Congratulations, you’ve now got a makeshift suppressed weapon and a ticket to continue on in Modern Warfare’s campaign.
