Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games 2020’s latest trailer is all about showcasing its accessible multiplayer mini-games. Published by Nintendo earlier today, a fun montage depicts players of different ages getting competitive and having a blast while waiting for a delayed flight.
Even a delayed flight isn’t a drag when you’ve got a classic retro mode and 21 3D Olympic events to take part in, apparently. We get to see a glimpse of how the Switch’s motion controls and JoyCons are used for the control of various games, too, like boxing, archery, and the hurdle race.
Of course, you can play the game solo or in competitive multiplayer, and you don’t have to use motion controls if you’d rather stick to conventional JoyCons/Pro Controller.
You can check the new trailer out for yourself below.
If you’re keen to see more actual gameplay then a recent trailer puts a spotlight on hoverboarding and more here, or check out the trailers for baseball, BMX, soccer, and the game’s opening cutscene. If you haven’t had a good look at the the 2D classic offering then it’s here.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch this fall, Nov. 5.
