The main goal of this boss fight is to get Gooigi to the other side of the pool so that he can turn the water valve to drain the pool of its water, and in turn, make the boss stuck in the drain.

If you try to have Gooigi walk over there all willy-nilly, you won’t be able to. The swimmer will keep splashing you with water, blocking your path.

What you need to do is take control of Luigi on the other side and shoot the dodge balls right into the face of the ghost swimmer. This will leave him stunned for a few seconds, giving you time to take over Gooigi and turn the valve on the other side.

Once you do this, you’ll be able to go down the ladder with Luigi down into the pool where the final fight begins –this is the easy part though.

All you need to do is throw a ball into the swimmer’s face and then pull his goggles off with the vacuum, leaving him open to a stun attack. Once he’s stunned from the strobe light, you’ll be able to suck him up and defeat him once and for all, rewarding Luigi with another button for the elevator.

Time needed: 3 minutes
