The fight will start with the king taking over a suit of armor and a horse and he will be riding around in circles around the arena.

First Phase

What you need to do for this first phase is wait until he’s charging directly towards you and then flash him with the strobe light once his ghostly body is popping out of the suit.

Once you stun him, simply shoot your plunger with the Y button and then pull it by sucking it with the vacuum. You’ll then be able to throw him to cause damage.

Second Phase

Once you repeat that first phase about six times or so, his armor will finally break but then he’ll start attacking you with a sword and shield.

Once he does his sword spin move, wait until he’s done and then he’ll be open for a nice strobe light move. Once he’s stunned, you can go ahead and suck him up like you would any ghost.

Once you do this about three times, he’ll be defeated and Luigi will be rewarded with yet another elevator button.
