the outer worlds, how long, to beat

How Long to Beat Outer Worlds

The Outer Worlds has you trekking across multiple planets in the Halcyon Colony, run by megacorporations and The Board.

There’s a main story path to follow, although that path can diverge based on the choices you make. If you’re strictly following the main story, doing nothing else, you should be able to complete the game in roughly 10-12 hours.

However, that’s neglecting the majority of content in The Outer Worlds. There’s a truckload of side quests and tasks to complete, as well as companion quests and faction quests. There’s tens more hours to play through if you want.

Our own playthrough of the game clocked in at roughly 40 hours, doing almost all of the side content we could find.

Consider, of course, that choice is also a big part of The Outer Worlds, and that can create even more content. You’ll probably want to play through the game at least twice, in order to see everything that the story has to offer.

It’s all up to you, though, and you can do as much or as little as you want to.

Hopefully, that gives you a rough idea of how long Outer Worlds takes to beat. If you need any other help or info while playing through the game, make sure to check out our Outer Worlds guide wiki, or search for Twinfinite.

Roughly 10-12 hours for speedrunners, 35-40 if you’re taking your time and doing side quests.
