Drinking Water in Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Before you can drink water, you’ll need to make sure your canteen is full. This can be done at any body of water you spot — just approach the water and wait for the prompt, then hit triangle if you’re on PS4 or Y if you’re on Xbox One.

There will be a short animation and your canteen will be topped up to the max in a single go.

Now that your canteen is full, hold R1/RB to pull up your item wheel. Select the water canteen from your items to equip it. Then hit L1/LB to take a drink.

To clarify, here’s a step-by-step:

  1. Fill your canteen by pressing triangle (PS4) or Y (Xbox One) at any body of water.

  2. Hold R1 (PS4) or Right Bumper (Xbox One), select your canteen.

  3. Press L1 (PS4) or Left Bumper (Xbox One) to Drink.

When you drink, you should notice the water restoring your stamina if it’s low. Of course, this isn’t the only way of replenishing lost stamina, and if you’re noticing that stamina is an issue then you’ll probably want to think about upgrading this stat with a skill point.

We’ve written a detailed guide about how to increase your stamina, but in brief, there are several skill tree options that offer upgrades.
