Patch 5.1 has just dropped for Final Fantasy XIV, and it’s a very exciting one for a variety of reasons. It introduces the new Fellowships feature, new game plus, new story content, and the first Alliance raid of the Shadowbringers expansion. Here’s how to start the YoRHa Dark Apocalypse NieR raid in FFXIV.
How to Start the YoRHa Dark Apocalypse NieR Raid in FFXIV
First things first, there are a few requirements that you’ll need to meet. You need to have completed the Shadowbringers story quests, and reach the level 80 cap.
Once you’ve done so, go ahead to Tomra in Khoulusia, and accept the quest titled Word about Komra. This short quest chain will require you to complete a series of fetch quests, but since there isn’t any combat involved, you should be able to knock those out pretty quickly.
After that, you’ll be able to accept the level 80 quest titled A Scandal in Komra from the same Gossipy Dwarf NPC in Tomra, and this will get you started on the YoRHa Dark Apocalypse NieR raid proper.
Simply follow the quest chain and objectives, and you’ll eventually unlock the Copied Factory, which is the name of the YoRHa Dark Apocalypse NieR raid.
However, in order to get your foot through the door and actually participate in the raid, you need to meet the item level requirement as well. You’ll need to hit at least an item level of 435 to be able to play it.
This shouldn’t be too hard to hit if you’ve been keeping up with your tomestone gear by playing through the expert roulette each day. You can also get 450 gear by playing through the first tier of Eden raids on Normal difficulty to bump up your item score as well.
Time needed: 10 minutes
