How to Get Decryption Core Fragments in Destiny 2

The quest steps for the Divinity Exotic quest are pretty straightforward, right until you’re tasked with collecting a number of Decryption Core Fragments in the game. This actually isn’t too hard to do, as long as you know what you’re supposed to be looking for.

In short, you’re supposed to kill Vex enemies to collect your Fragments. Because you need 120 of them, though, it’s not efficient to just go to Nessus and start mowing down whatever Vex patrols you come across. Thankfully, the newly launched activity in Destiny 2 will help you amass your Fragments pretty easily and quickly.

If you talk to Ikora in the Tower, you’ll get a new quest to unlock the new Vex Offensive activity. Simply follow the quest steps to unlock it, and one run of the Vex Offensive should give you all the Decryption Core Fragments you need to proceed on with your Exotic quest. If you happen to come up short, then it might be a good idea to pop over to Nessus to kill a few Vex until you’ve got the amount you need.

Now that you have all the Decryption Core Fragments, you’ll be able to proceed on with the quest to get the Exotic Divinity Trace Rifle.

Time needed: 1 hour
