When Link’s Awakening was first revealed, it was announced that the game would have a special dungeon creator feature that wasn’t in the original Game Boy game.

By finding new chamber slabs, you can rearrange dungeon rooms to create your own Zelda dungeon and then share it with friends by transferring data to your amiibo.

This mode isn’t found in the main menu or anything as you need to find it in the game itself by talking to a man named Dampe.

Where to Find Dampe’s Shack

Dampe’s Shack can be found in Tabahl Wasteland, just north of the graveyard and the area with the spooky trees and crows. Once you end up finding his little shack, just go inside and talk to him and you’ll be able to create some dungeons.

If you follow the tutorials that Dampe gives you, he’ll even reward you with some pieces of heart, so it’s worth checking out even for just a few minutes.

Just head back to his shack whenever you want to start the chamber dungeon mode.

To sum things up:

  1. Go to Danpe’s Shack which is located in Tabahl Wasteland, just north of the cemetery/graveyard area.

  2. Talk to him to start the mode.

And that’s all you need to know about how to unlock chamber dungeon mode in Link’s Awakening. For more on the game, make sure to check out our expansive Wiki Guide on the game and our scored review.
