Just a couple of days ago, Nintendo teased the world with what looked like a successor to Wii Fit, a peripheral that would bring friends and families together by exercising in the living room. Nintendo has finally unveiled the new device and game, which is called Ring Fit Adventure, and it’s coming sooner than you think.
Ring Fit Adventure will bring players into an expansive world, battling enemies along a path by using real-world exercises as “attacks.”
The new Ring-Con and Leg Strap accessories that are included in the package will track the player’s movements, placing the actions in-game.
From the trailer below, you can see the in-game character jumping, jogging, and throwing down in RPG-esque battles by simply performing exercises in real-life.
Alongside the single-player mode, there will also be mini-games, normal workout routines, and a quick-play mode:
Outside of the main adventure, Quick Play mode is a great way to enjoy Ring Fit Adventure in shorter bursts, allowing players to jump in and out of play.
This lets everyone enjoy a quick workout in different ways, like taking turns with friends and family attempting the same mini-games to compete for high scores.
Mini-games cover a wide range of activities, from breaking boxes with gusts of air triggered by the Ring-Con to shaping pottery by performing squats.
Ring Fit Adventure will be launching for the Nintendo Switch on Oct. 18 and will cost $79.99
