Today, during a stage event hosted by Koei Tecmo at Tokyo Game Show 2019, the publisher showcased new gameplay of the upcoming masocore game NiOh 2.
The gameplay showcases a demo level of the game, but it comes with a caveat, as it’s played by two players.
NiOh 2 actually supports up to three players in multiplayer, but Koei Tecmo opted to show only two today, all the way from the beginning of the level to the boss.
You can check it out below.
Even with just two players, the gameplay looks absolutely crazy (in a good way), and the fighting is as brutal as ever.
I honestly can’t wait to see what it looks like with three players. We recently heard that the game won’t have an easy mode, but multiplayer will extend a helping hand to players in trouble.
NiOh 2 launched for PS4 in early 2020. If you want to see more, you can enjoy the latest trailer.
Yesterday Twinfinite attended a presentation by Producer Fumihiko Yasuda, who shared a lot of interesting details about the game, including an overview of its extensive multiplayer features.
We also tried the game, and tasted death many, many times.
