As in other Zelda games, rupees act as the main source of currency in Link’s Awakening and are used to purchase new items, heart pieces, and shields. If you’re looking for the best way to get rupees fast, then here’s what you need to do.
Ways to Get Rupees Fast in Link’s Awakening
Buying some of the items at the Town Tool Shop can run you tons of rupees, like the bow and arrow for example, which costs 980 of them (ouch).
One of the first things that I recommend doing to get rupees pretty quickly is to go to the Trendy Game shop and play the crane game to get the red and purple-colored rupees, giving you 20 and 50 rupees, respectively.
Keep in mind that the game costs 10 rupees to play, but if you just leave and come back and play again and again, you can amass a pretty penny.
Another approach to get money fast is to go fishing in Mabe Village as the big fishes can give you 10-15 rupees each, depending on the weight.
And then there’s the inexpensive method of getting some, which is done by simply cutting up all of the grass that you see or just opening up chests in dungeons as you go along with the story.
To sum things up:
- You can win them at the Trendy Game.
- You can cut grass to get Rupees
- You can catch fish at the pond.
- Or you can just open chests in dungeons to get them.
