Revealed earlier in the summer, the preorder DLC for Gears 5 is a bit different to the usual cool weapon or different pattern skin you might expect nowadays.

Instead, it’s quite the pop-culture crossover, adding Sarah Connor to the game as a playable character.

She is only playable in the Horde mode, which once again sees you battle against 50 waves of enemies, and the new three player Escape mode. There’s no way of playing as the classic Terminator character in either the campaign or the standard multiplayer modes.

How to Redeem Terminator Preorder DLC (Sarah Connor) in Gears 5

If you’ve preordered the game digitally, the DLC should be available in game as soon as you start playing. There’s nothing extra that you’ll need to do and you’ll find Sarah Connor when you head to the Horde or Escape menus.

If you bought a physical version of the game, you’ll need to head to the store on your platform of choice. Then, look for Redeem Code option, where you’ll need to enter the code that’s on a slip inside the Gears 5 box.

Then, next time you start up the game, the Terminator DLC should be available to use.

In short,

  1. It should be available already if you preordered the game digitally.

  2. If you’ve purchased Gears 5 physically, the Sarah Connor Terminator DLC should be a code inside the game box. Just enter that into the redeem section of you platform’s store.
