Luckily for you, we’re here to let you know how to do just that.

How to Heal Your Health in Gears 5

As with most any other third-person shooter in recent memory, Gears 5 sees your health automatically regenerate after a certain amount of time passes without you taking damage. You’ll know its kicked in when the screen goes from its bloody, damaging effect to the usual palette of “OK” colors.

And that’s really it; all you need to do to heal your health is stay out of danger for a few seconds and wait for the screen to return to its usual hue.

How to Avoid Taking Damage

As for how you can stay out of danger long enough to heal in Gears 5, there are a few key factors to keep in mind that’ll help you in any given situation.

One is to keep an eye out for where your enemies are firing at you from. While some areas might see Locusts positioned at several different vantage points, others, there’s usually a funnel point that they’re concentrated into.

Keep an eye out for the area where they’d all have trouble hitting you at, and then make a bee-line for that point.

Also, be patient and wait for your health to fully recharge. While it may be tempting to dive back into the fray as soon as your health starts regenerating, it’s all too easy to lose all of that health again when the enemies see your head pop back out and open fire.

Stay posted up behind cover until your health is all the way back, and then jump back into the line of fire with reckless abandon.

Hopefully this cleared up how to heal your health in Gears 5. For more on the game, check out our Gears 5 guide wiki as well as one of the game’s most recent developer updates.
