First things first, it’s important to know exactly what Timed Finishing actually is.

Depending on what button you push, this mechanic allows you to get more power or accuracy from your shots.

This can be done by doing do any kind of shot, then press that exact same shot button afterwards. Getting it in the green means you did it perfect.

Now that you know what it is, here is what you need to know about getting rid of it.

How to Turn Off Timed Finishing in FIFA 20

Open up the main menu in FIFA 20. From here, go to the Customize tab.

Once inside, select settings and then customize controls. Here, you’ll see an option that says Timed Finishing.

Scroll down to it and change the option to Off.

Now you can head into any game, in any mode, and not have to worry about trying to score using Timed Finishing. Instead, you can shoot your shot the old fashion way.

  1. In the main menu, go to Customize.

  2. Select Settings and customize controls.

  3. Scroll down the menu and change Timed Finishing to Off.
