Alongside the addition of Seasons Objectives and the move to bring offline games and online single matches under on Friendlies banner, some changes have been made to how you organize your squad.

First of all, the EA Catalogue no longer features Ultimate Team bonuses so you can’t get match coin boosts and the way to change squad name has changed too.

How to Change Ultimate Team Squad Name in FIFA 20

As far as we can tell, there’s no way to change your Ultimate Team squad name multiple times from the Catalogue or the My Club tab. Instead, the function is another thing that has been moved to the Objectives.

If you head to that tab on the FIFA 20 Ultimate Team hub screen and look for the Foundations challenges, you’ll see a set called The Basics. Here, one of the objectives asks you to change your squad name.

You’ll need to do it to get all of the rewards from that set of objectives, but it also seems like it’s the only time you can do it. Therefore, be sure to think carefully before you do it for the rewards, just in case you might want to change it again at a later date.

If EA Sports adds another way to do it again sometime in the future, maybe via another set of objectives, we’ll be sure to update you here.

In short,

  1. Head to the Seasons Objectives tab.

  2. Go to the Foundations section.

  3. There’s an objective in the Basics set that asks you to Change Squad Name.
